Are you willing to offer work placement opportunities in finance-related fields?

Are you willing to offer work placement opportunities in finance-related fields?

West College Scotland is dedicated to providing real-life experience to students, and are seeking your collaboration to make it happen. Are you willing to offer work placement opportunities in finance-related fields for a minimum duration of 21 hours and between the months of April and Mid-June?

As part of WCS commitment to preparing students for the workforce, they're looking for professionals who are open to taking on students for work placements. Your mentorship and guidance can greatly contribute to their growth and development in the finance sector.

If you're interested in offering work placements then please email info@dywwest.co.uk

Additional info on Work Placements:

  • We would be hoping for real life work experience in a financial setting for our students. If they could job shadow, or be given a particular task, that would add real value to their future CVs and job interview responses, that would be ideal
  • A placement with yourselves would help with our students understanding of class room learning in the real world
  • If you can offer placement to 1 or 2 students that would be a great support.
  • The Unit actually has a minimum of 21 hours Work Placement activity – this can be extended if that meets the availability of the student and yourselves.
  • The timings of the placement are likely to be March -June – again is this flexible although the first two weeks in May would be difficult as the students have an exam in May – 15th May for this year.
